Meet me!

Hi, I'm Kyra (Keer-uh)!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the states of New Jersey and Pennsylvania. I have been working in the field of mental health since 2016 in settings such as care management, in-patient care, school based therapy, and out-patient therapy all while receiving my Bachelors Degree, Summa Cumme Laude from Centenary University and my Masters in Social Work from Monmouth University. During this time I have developed my primary focus; working with children and adults who struggle with anxiety based disorders, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, and trauma based disorders.

I love being a therapist and got into this field after struggling not only with my own mental health but watching others experience mental health hardships without proper support. Because of this I do my best to take individualized and humanistic approaches to therapy where we can not only talk about your mental health but also discuss community resources, positive supports, and life in general. The primary treatment modalities I use to accomplish this goal are Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy, Person Centered Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

The me you will meet in therapy is the same one you would meet on the street. I love baggy sweaters and sweatshirts, there will be at least one animal around me (3 cats, 1 dog), I will have a cup of coffee nearby, I do take camping trips and vacations, and sometimes I curse. If this sounds like the type of person you would like to work with, please reach out! I can't wait to see what you can do!
